paddles
Lendal, NA.
There’s something special about a Lendal NA paddle—especially the Storm with the bent shaft. The first time I gripped it, it felt like it was made for my hands alone: perfectly balanced, effortless in the water, and solid without feeling heavy. Every stroke is smooth and efficient, turning all conditions into something playful and fun. It’s not just gear—it’s an extension of my body, a trusted partner that makes every outing feel like my best one yet.
Gearlab Outdoors
There’s an unmistakable elegance in Gearlab Outdoors’ Greenland-style paddles—sleek carbon contours, engineered for endurance, and masterfully merging tradition with innovation. Every stroke feels smooth, precise, and almost effortless, as if the paddle knows the water’s rhythm before you do. Gearlab hasn’t just built a paddle—they’ve crafted a perfectly balanced extension of the paddler’s body, turning each journey into pure, fluid harmony.
DryWear
Kōkatat.
When conditions get cold, wet, or unpredictable, staying dry isn’t about comfort, it’s about staying focused and confident on the water. Kōkatat drywear is built for real paddling environments, where gear needs to perform consistently day after day. The fit, durability, and thoughtful design allow you to move freely, stay warm, and keep your attention where it belongs: on the water, your skills, and the experience. Whether you’re training in dynamic conditions or extending your season into colder months, reliable drywear helps remove distractions and supports better decision making and performance when it matters most.
Kayaks
Nigel Denis Kayaks
My favorite sea kayaks. Nigel crafts boats that are a genuine joy to paddle high‑performance, stable, and roomy enough for multi‑day trips and extra gear. They’re highly customizable to suit different paddling styles, and the artwork and finishing details are consistently striking. I’ve been sponsored by NDK for most of my paddling career; Nigel took my feedback seriously and even designed a custom kayak to my specifications. The NDK team is creative and innovative, building durable, well‑engineered kayaks that carry paddlers confidently from their first strokes to more dynamic, challenging waters.
My three kayaks of choice are;
Plastics Sportive
Romany Classic
Romany Plus (although I am still hopeful for a name change)
